Danielle + Josiah | Leesylvania State Park Elopement

Sometimes you meet people that you just click with and that was the case the first time I met Danielle and Josiah. Since then, I’ve photographed numerous milestones in their lives including most recently, the announcement that they’re expecting their second child. However, I think the most special had to have been their intimate Leesylvania State Park elopement.

It was the most beautiful April morning with fog moving across the Potomac River creating a dreamy backdrop. Danielle and Josiah chose to get married on the beach with the water behind them. Their son, Noah, played in the sand as his parents said their “I Dos.” It was like something straight out of a Nicholas Sparks’ movie–gorgeous, romantic and intimate. They had the whole area to themselves and the fog made it seem even more remote.

After the ceremony, we walked the beach, capturing portraits and enjoying the morning as the fog burned off. It was a beautiful day and I loved everything about this Leesylvania State Park elopement.
