I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.
Sandy and Steve had a beautiful, intimate wedding at their home in Keswick. Keswick is located in Albemarle County, outside of Charlottesville, is absolutely gorgeous. The New York Times has described the drive through the area as one of the most scenic in America. You have mountain views, historic homes and large tracts of land. It’s horse country and I love it.
Sandy and Steve’s property is quintessential Keswick–a beautiful home surrounded by mountain views and open fields. Their wedding was held in the backyard and was truly a family affair with their close friends and family present. Sandy was stunning in her gown and the flowers were gorgeous. The ceremony reflected Sandy’s love for her family with her daughter-in-law having coordinated and planned the day, her son walking her down the aisle and her grandchildren serving as flower girls and ring bearers. Following the ceremony, there were a variety of cocktail hour foods, family photos and children playing on the lawn. It was perfect.
Dinner was held on the covered terrace of the home as the sun set with toasts and cake cutting, plus lots of laughs. Here are some of my favorites from this Keswick wedding.
