A Stevenson Ridge wedding never disappoints and Ava and Austin’s was no exception. These two met while being members of their respective best friends’ wedding in Alabama. Ava had known her friend, the bride, Alyssa, since seventh grade and Austin had known Will, the groom, about the same amount of time. They were introduced and hit it off, starting a long-distance relationship with him in Alabama and her in Virginia. During a couple’s portrait session, Austin proposed to Ava. Ya’ll know I love when the proposal is captured. Major points for any person proposing who pre-plans to have it photographed.
Ava and Austin chose Stevenson Ridge as their wedding venue. Located in Spotsylvania, Stevenson Ridge consists of numerous antique structures that have been restored into cabins and cottages. The lodge serves as the reception space and features old chapel elements. There is also an excellent on-site chef and catering team.
For Ava and Austin’s day, they chose shades of navy, cinnamon, wine and coral. The bridesmaids each wore cinnamon, wine or coral while the groomsmen were in navy suits. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful with a decorated arbor and flowers in front of the pond with the reception space having shades of pink with pink and purple uplighting. The cake was four tiers accompanied by numerous desserts. For the menu, there was a blend of cultures with chicken marsala and ghormeh sabzi.
Following dinner, guests enjoyed toasts and dancing, taking turns in the photobooth before a sparkler exit.
