I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.
As a former University of Mary Washington student, one of my all-time favorite spring events on campus was the multicultural fair. And, since the fair happens tomorrow, I thought this would be the perfect subject for this week’s Flashback Friday. The multicultural fair is an amazing, family-friendly community event with various cultures represented through music, […]
In January, middle school student Aaron celebrated his 13th birthday with a low-key event at his home surrounded by friends and family.
Christmas is such an amazing holiday. Not only is it a time to spend with family and friends, but it’s also about philanthropy and the birth of Jesus. And I guess you can add presents and gift giving in there too.
I had tons of fun at yesterday’s Spring Fling and took so many photos. I can’t wait to blog them, but until then, here’s a fun little sneak peek. I love the expression on the children’s faces as they rush to find eggs.
In keeping with my Easter theme, today’s Flashback Friday features pictures from Easter 2010. Sadly, with the crazy weather we’ve had recently, I doubt Sunday will be filled with flowers and signs of spring, but it’ll still be Easter, one of my absolute favorite holidays. Did I mention the Easter bunny wrote me a letter […]
Spring is coming, supposedly, so what better thing to flashback to than a spring fling? I absolutely love spring, especially those later spring days when it gets warm, but not quite hot. And I don’t know that there’s anything better than spring flings and Easter. These are just a few pictures from Massaponax Baptist Church’s […]
Today’s post is a little different than the others. I’m a Pinterest addict. I can’t help it. I’ve always been pretty crafty (a trait I received from my mother) and Pinterest just helps feed my passion for all things DIY. Below are just a few of the projects I completed for the holidays, including both […]
It isn’t Christmas without a children’s play. Each year, my church puts on a Christmas play with a varying story all leading back to the true meaning of the holiday. The most recent play was a more traditional, yet musical, take on the Christmas story with each child portraying a different character, including Mary and […]
I love decorating for holidays and Christmas is no different. The tree goes up the weekend after Thanksgiving and because I try to complete as much of my Christmas shopping as possible on Black Friday, it usually has presents wrapped and under it that same weekend. I don’t go all Martha Stewart on my tree, […]
In celebration of Halloween, my aunt and uncle held a Halloween weekend full of themed events at their campground. Children enjoyed barrel train rides and trick or treating among other events.
