I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.

The Wood Family | Virginia Family Photographer

I’ve known Jenn for a while. A local salon owner, she’s done my hair for quite some time, including for my wedding, and just has such a positive energy about her so when she asked me to take some photos of her family I was thrilled. We decided to use her home and amazing gardens […]

Hannah’s Prom 2015 (Part two) | Virginia Prom

You may remember Hannah from a few weeks ago when she donned an amazing blue dress and took on her high school prom with some friends. Well a few weeks later, I got to see that fabulous dress again when we met up at the University of Mary Washington for some pre-prom photos before prom with […]

Hannah’s Prom 2015 | Virginia Prom

A little rain didn’t stand in the way of Hannah and her friends looking fabulous for prom. We crowded under a local pavilion, which is a popular spot for pre-prom photos, and were able to get some shots safely out of the rain before she and her friends headed out to dinner and then the […]

Erin + Rhen | Virginia Tech Engagements

Thomas Family Photos

A few months ago, a friend from high school (yearbookers represent!) contacted me about taking some spring photos of her family. I was so excited and couldn’t wait, but there was the little issue of mother nature’s quest for endless snow. So we waited, and waited, and then waited some more. Just when I thought I […]

Brooks Family, Nags Head, N.C.

I absolutely love the beach. Each year, my husband and I travel with his extended family to the Outer Banks and spend a week soaking up the sun, having fun and making memories. This year was even better because I had the opportunity to snap a few photos one evening of this amazing family. They […]

Rhen and Erin’s Downtown Fredericksburg Engagement

I’m so excited for this blog post. Today I bring you a super cute, surprise downtown holiday engagement. I mean, Christmas lights, surprise engagements, jewelry? You really can’t get any better than that, plus I absolutely adore these two. Rhen and Erin first started dating back when they were in high school and now, five years later, […]

Spotsy Homecoming 2013

Earlier this week, I posted a Sneak Peek (http://hartofgrace.wordpress.com/2013/10/27/sneak-peek-spotsy-homecoming/) of Hannah’s pre-Homecoming photos. I met up with Hannah and her friends last Saturday at what turned out to be a very popular spot. Tons of students and their dates were there, having photos taken so finding a spot proved to be a bit of a […]

Sneak Peek: Spotsy Homecoming

Two sneak peeks in one week? I know right. Check out this photo of Hannah (remember her from the volleyball photo?) and her friends all dressed up for Homecoming. Their fabulous dresses made me wish I had a formal event coming up. I mean the sequin details? Gorgeous!
