I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.
Elizabeth and Conner were married on a perfect October day at the Octagonal Barn at the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton. Fun little fact about the barn itself, it was built in 1905 and as of 1993, was one of only two such barns in the state. Beside the shape, it’s also unique in that […]
With only about two weeks to go until their big day, I received a message that Rebecca and Joseph were seeking a photographer to capture their Arbor Haven wedding. “Yes, absolutely, let’s figure it out.” I’m a make it work girl (I see you Tim Gunn) and if I can make it work, I’ll do […]
Laura and Kyle may have had to wait a few extra months for their Lake Anna wedding, but it was so worth it. They were originally supposed to get married in April, but thanks to COVID-19, they moved their wedding to mid-September. That’s something that many 2020 brides, and wedding vendors, unfortunately have experience with. […]
The current COVID-19 pandemic may have halted some large scale celebrations, but it hasn’t cancelled love as evidenced by Rachel and John’s backyard Richmond elopement. July 25 was chosen for their wedding date because it was the closest Saturday to their dating anniversary, so when regulations began changing regarding events, they chose to have a […]
A helicopter, a stick tepee and boho bridal inspiration? Sign me up y’all! Nearly four years ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a styled wedding shoot at Snead’s Asparagus Farm in Fredericksburg. The shoot was based around a fiesta-style theme with a taco bar, margaritas, pinatas, bright colors and tons of fun Spanish-themed […]
Is there anything better than colorful bridal inspiration? I don’t think so, especially right now during all of this COVID-19 bleakness. We can all use a little brightness in our lives. Almost four years ago (I can’t believe it has been that long!), I captured a fiesta-style wedding shoot at Snead’s Asparagus Farm in Fredericksburg. […]
Kerry and Sergio’s Washington, D.C. wedding was amazing, not only because of the beautiful setting and gorgeous green Kerry chose for her colors, but also because it happened right before everything shut down. The worldwide pandemic has affected us all, no matter where we are, and the wedding industry isn’t immune to that. So many […]
Samantha and Chris had a beautiful Bandit’s Ridge wedding last month. The weather was warm, but gorgeous with bright blue sunny skies and the most perfect evening late summer, early fall light. However, maybe the most radiant thing was the huge smile Samantha had throughout the day. She was the epitome of a happy bride, […]
In his speech, Katie’s dad said he “loves the way Adam loves Katie” and I admit, I do too. During their wedding day at the Pavilion on Lakeland Farm, their love for each other way on full display. They laughed, occasionally cried and made their day their own, which is something I always love. From […]
Laura and Jimmy wanted to get married outdoors with mountain views and their Wolftrap Farm wedding definitely fit the bill. Jimmy is originally from Georgia so outdoors was a must. He and Laura met at a local bar when he was in Virginia for work. A little over a year later, he relocated to Virginia […]
