Cherry blossoms ’13

Earlier this spring, my husband and I took a trip to D.C. to visit the National Zoo and also check out the cherry blossoms. The cherry blossoms are amazingly beautiful every year, blooming bright pink as they welcome in spring in the nation’s capital. When we made our visit, the trees were just beginning to turn pink. Due to the unusual weather, they bloomed later than usual. It didn’t matter though, because they were beyond busy with people buzzing about them having picnics, taking photos and flying kites. I didn’t have a picnic, but I did take lots of photos.
