Every fall, my husband and I take a vacation to celebrate our anniversary. We’ve done this since we were married in 2010, but this year, we’re buying a house so we’ve been grounded. We’re super blessed to be able to take vacations, and I admit I’m a little sad we had to take a year off from our tradition, but I know once we close on our house next month we’ll be too excited to even worry about it. In the meantime, I figured I would live vicariously through photos from last fall’s vacation.
We took a week late last September and drove up to Maine, something we had always wanted to do. Along the way, we stopped at several places, including New Haven, CT. While there, we visited Yale, walked the streets surrounding the campus and stopped by Lighthouse Point Park. It was our first time ever visiting a New England beach and, being used to southern beaches, all of the rocks and oyster shells were a surprise for us. They were gorgeous though. Plus, this park has a carousel. I couldn’t go in to snap any photos because it was closed for the off-season, but they had it set up for a wedding. How amazing would that be?
capturing love stories since 2010
Located in a small town outside of Charlottesville, I love my couples and clients. I capture your story in a way that is authentic to your day and will stand the test of time with true to color editing. From the details to grandma trying the Cupid Shuffle, it’s all important and should all be photographed.
