I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.
I love weddings! I love the people, I love the traditions and I especially love the details. Anything DIY makes me swoon and I love how brides really make a wedding their own. Whether it be the music, food, place settings or name cards, brides choose a theme and roll with it. In late May, I shot a gorgeous wedding with a friend. It was outdoors, surrounding a pool with hydrangeas and green apples. The bride was gorgeous and the love she and her groom had just glowed. And I would add that the whole thing was catered by Wegman’s and I’m definitely a Wegman’s girl, so that’s a big plus in my book. I ended up shooting hundreds upon hundreds of photos, but I’ve chosen just a few to display here that I think create a feel for the day. Enjoy! (Also, I’m trying out a new collage-esque format here, in case you notice a change.)
