Orange County, Virginia, located just outside of Charlottesville, is full of beautiful wedding venues and Mayhurst Estate is no exception. It’s a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast located just outside the Town of Orange. It was built in 1859 and has been a private home, a headquarters, a cattle farm and a boarding house. It’s also been home to probably dozens if not hundreds of weddings under its previous owners, the Norths, a tradition that continues under current owners the Cashells. Jason and Casey purchased the property in 2020 and have continued a renovation started by the Norths. The home itself is amazing and the grounds add to that. Plus, they also have goats, including the cutest babies in the spring that you’ve ever seen.

Back in 2021, I had the opportunity to attend a European inspired, vintage romance styled shoot at Mayhurst Estate. A styled shoot is basically an opportunity for vendors to come together, show off their talents, try things they otherwise wouldn’t get a chance to and create lots of wedding inspiration for future brides and grooms. This shoot was all about showcasing Mayhurst with beautiful floral installations, romantic dresses, a full tablescape (including an amazing charcuterie board) and of course, goats. The color scheme including lots of peaches and blues adding to the romantic feel.
