I'm a published wedding and portrait photographer located in a small town outside of Charlottesville. In addition to capturing beautiful images, I love spending time with my family, am freakishly good at word games (Hey Wheelmobile!), love an ice cold can of Coke or Dr. Pepper, know every line to Hocus Pocus and can never pass up a Chick-fil-A waffle fry or a trip to HomeGoods.
In 2021, I had the opportunity to participate in a styled shoot at various locations throughout Lynchburg, including Atelier Studio. The shoot raised funds for the YWCA of Central Virginia which aims to empower women, children and families. They have a domestic violence prevention program, a sexual assault response program and a women’s residential housing program. […]
There’s beautiful fall light and then there’s the beautiful fall light Hannah and Brandon had during their October Arbor Haven wedding. To say it was gorgeous would be an understatement. Hannah and Brandon met while in college at Ohio University. They got engaged in 2019 during a visit to a filming site for one of […]
Sandy and Steve had a beautiful, intimate wedding at their home in Keswick. Keswick is located in Albemarle County, outside of Charlottesville, is absolutely gorgeous. The New York Times has described the drive through the area as one of the most scenic in America. You have mountain views, historic homes and large tracts of land. […]
Orange County, Virginia, located just outside of Charlottesville, is full of beautiful wedding venues and Mayhurst Estate is no exception. It’s a beautiful, historic bed and breakfast located just outside the Town of Orange. It was built in 1859 and has been a private home, a headquarters, a cattle farm and a boarding house. It’s […]
Kendall and Christian’s Barn at Kline’s Mill wedding was absolutely gorgeous–and a long time coming. These two met in high school on the bus as sophomores. Kendall had just moved to the area with her family and quickly became friends with some of Christian’s friends. They tried the dating thing for a few weeks the […]
Amber and Sean’s fall wedding at Arbor Haven was delayed a year due to COVID-19, but it was definitely worth the wait. These two met several years ago and were engaged in July 2019 with attendance by a very special mouse–Mickey! Sean proposed to Amber not only at Disney, but in front of the main […]
In 2021, I had the opportunity to participate in a styled shoot at various locations throughout Lynchburg, including Firehouse 4. The shoot raised funds for the YWCA of Central Virginia which aims to empower women, children and families. They have a domestic violence prevention program, a sexual assault response program and a women’s residential housing […]
I first spoke with Tacorra less than a month before her September Arbor Haven wedding. Her photographer had fallen through and that person’s loss was absolutely my gain. Tacorra and Dwayne’s wedding was beautiful and featured my favorite color–mint. Plus, I always love an Arbor Haven wedding day. The owner, Keri, is fantastic. She really […]
When I think of Morgan and CJ’s Frontier Culture Museum wedding, I think of fun! I also then get Nelly stuck in my head, but that’ll make sense in a minute. Morgan and CJ met at work and knew each other in passing for about a year before one hike changed everything. They hit it […]
We had to wait an extra year for it thanks to COVID-19, but Rachel and John had a beautiful Independence Golf Club wedding. You may remember these two from their Richmond elopement in 2020. Rachel and John had planned their wedding for that summer, but like so many couples affected by the pandemic, they had […]
